With the annual Qlik Analytics Tour having to change from being a physical event to an online offering as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ometis, with the support of Nifty and our prior experience with virtual events, began exploring the potential of hosting webinars to demonstrate the latest features of Qlik products, particularly Qlik Sense, and showcase their expertise.
The Qlik tours, which Ometis had routinely hosted at the Belfry resort in Birmingham, were showpiece events where enthusiasts, professionals and customers of the industry-leading business intelligence product could assemble to share ideas and discover the roadmap of the product.
Webinars provided Ometis with the opportunity to continue to engage with existing and potential customers and build their knowledge of functionality they might not be familiar with. They enabled Ometis to showcase their expertise with the platform and positioned them to be able to demonstrate products which they could potentially up-sell. Each event would feature Q&A sessions in which attendees could engage with the UK’s leading consultants and learn from their wealth of experience.
“Very useful demo – really interesting.”
With the client leading on the topics for each event, Nifty got stuck into creating landing pages for each monthly webinar, either through external webinar platforms or natively on Ometis’ website itself. We produced a variety of social posts and emails to drive registrations for each event, supplemented by PPC activities on LinkedIn and Twitter targeting Qlik users, enthusiasts and business decision makers.
Following each event, Nifty edited the recordings, uploading to YouTube and optimised for the relevant keywords in relation to the given topic. Over the first 12-month period, average registrations grew from nine in the first webinar through to more than 30 by the end of the year, while their content has been viewed by more than 3,000 people during and post-event. They have received fantastic feedback from viewers impressed by the insight and support provided in the sessions.
Beyond this, the year’s worth of webinar provided more than enough content which could be used in marketing collateral such as eBooks, which enables the gathering of extra data in exchange for value-added content.
