United We Conquer – A world-first solo Atlantic Row

In December of this year, British soldier, Jack Jarvis, will attempt something no one has ever done before – row solo from mainland Europe to mainland North America for his United We Conquer challenge.

As soon as Team Nifty met with Jack over a zoom call in March 2021, we instantly bought in to him and what he is trying to achieve, and we knew our services could be of huge benefit to him as he looks to raise much needed funds to achieve his dream.

Nifty has worked closely with Jack over the past 8 months, particularly with PR and sponsorship support. Through extensive media relations we have been able to secure Jack a range of different coverage, both national and regional, spanning from TV, to newspaper and online.

At the start of August he was interviewed by national TV outlet, GB News, receiving a combined 25 minutes of coverage on the Breakfast Show. The story was also shared across all the outlet’s social media channels, giving it a potential reach north of 500,000 – invaluable to Jack at that stage of his journey. He will also be interviewed by ITV National and Sky News in the days leading up to his departure.

As well as this, Jack has received coverage within his native Southampton, as well as further afield, following his most recent fundraising attempt where he ran a marathon carrying a 26kg rowing machine! He has also proved a hit with some of the UK’s most popular podcast, recently having some insightful chats with Shaun Attwood and Chris Thrall.

The British soldier has also been a noticeable benefactor of Nifty’s sponsorship skill set, with the 27-year-old recently receiving a Land Rover Discovery, courtesy of Nifty’s relationship with the multi-national operator of franchised motorcar dealerships, Jardine Motors. The worldwide company supplied Jack with this fantastic vehicle to help him transport his specially designed boat from the UK to Portugal, and during his pre-event training challenges around the country.

In addition to marketing and management support, Nifty has helped Jack secure a worthy charity partner in Brainstrust. The charity’s efforts mean a lot to Jack following the passing of his grandad in 2007 and he now can’t wait to get on the water and raise as much as possible for this fantastic

As we sit and write this case study in October, we’re less than two months away from Jack beginning this mind-boggling challenge and here at Nifty we are proud to be his management. We have so much more planned for him and can guarantee you’ll be seeing a lot more of the British soldier, not just here in the UK but stateside too, so watch this space!
