What is PR?

The first in our FAQs has to cover PR, or Public Relations. This is a way of enhancing a brand’s reputation to its target customer and is one of our audience development techniques. We will be constantly working to uphold and improve your reputation as a business essentially depends on it. The long and short of it is that your business is in a better position to generate more sales if it is credible, trusted and respected.

What are the benefits of PR?

One of the perks of the industry is that PR breeds PR – particularly good or interesting pieces of coverage can create a domino effect of media opportunities. We may have secured an interview or a feature for one newspaper, for example, which is then read by other journalists and media professionals who may be interested in you, your story or your product/service, generating further exposure in the media. It’s also an impactful, powerful way to communicate with your target audience.

Should I hire a PR firm or do it myself?

You should do whatever works for your business. However, at Nifty we offer more than just PR. We aim to utilise all forms of media to generate exposure for businesses and target their desired audiences. We call this the Niftyverse.

Will I be buying articles, advertising or space?

We will normally prioritise free editorial content when it comes to our PR outreach. However, different publications can have varying models whereby they will push for paid advertorial. There will be some cases where we might think this is appropriate, but we will always attempt to negotiate an additional piece of editorial content if we are to go down the paid route.

Do you outsource your content writing?

There is no outsourcing of writing here at Nifty. We have an accomplished team consisting of trained journalists which enables us to produce quality written work suited to your needs.

How long do we need to work with you for to see results?

We recommend a minimum period of six months. By building out your marketing channels on a strong, integrated fashion, this will be ample time for you to reap the benefit of the Niftyverse.

Do we need a marketing manager to work with you?

You don’t necessarily need a marketing manager, but we always recommend that clients identify a relevant point of contact, either for the organisation as a whole or for particular parts of the business. However, we can be flexible to suit how you work.

Do you build websites?

We have in-house experts with a proven track record of delivering a variety of website builds, as well as a number of trusted external web developers we work with depending on client needs and budget. Not only can we create a Nifty design for your new website, it will be optimised to generate conversions and we will continually evolve its content to boost it in organic search engine rankings.

What is performance marketing?

Performance marketing is a model which focuses on results rather than outputs. It’s a dynamic approach which doesn’t tie in fixed content, such as X mount of social posts per week – it allows us to be flexible and maximise your most successful marketing channels and generate return-on-investment. Basically, it’s us putting our money where our mouth is.
