Great Graphics Grab Attention

Attention written on a chalk board

In this digital age the average person scrolls through 300 feet of mobile content every day. To put it in to context, that is almost equivalent to the size of Big Ben, or for our US allies, the Statue of Liberty. Crazy, right?

In order to achieve 300 ft of scrolling every day, can you even imagine the speed in which we scroll at?! Once we pick up that device, three fingers at the back, pinkie at the bottom, with our thumb turning in to Usain Bolt, we are looking to do one of three things, be entertained, be informed or communicate with someone.

Given the pace of the public’s scrolling, a brand’s graphics have to be absolutely on the money in order to make the consumer take their thumb off the gas and stop to have a look. Not only that, you also have to produce visuals which your competitors simply can’t compete with, because at the end of the day, you’re all tussling for the attention of the same people.

As the use of the internet and social media has grown year after year, and the market has become somewhat saturated, the need for show-stopping graphics has never been greater. You can be selling the best product in the world but if you can’t get your end consumer to stop and take note, then what use is it? You can be the most skilled salesperson to ever walk the earth, but you’re going to struggle if the person on the other end of the phone has no idea who you are.

That’s the thing with graphics, they’re normally the first time a potential customer becomes aware of a brand and its services, and remember what we’re always taught when we’re young? First impressions are everything! And believe me, it’s no different in marketing. We can make up our mind about a brand just as quickly as we can scroll past them, and I think we’ve already established that’s pretty fast!

When it comes to graphics, unless you’re blessed with some of the most iconic logos in the world, you’re going to have to think outside the box. Gone are the days where you could just throw a visual together on photoshop and send it out with some relevant copy. The public now need their minds to be blown and if it is you can bet that they’ll be telling at least five people and that my friends, is a win. There is no better marketing than word of mouth and once you’ve aesthetically pleased the people, the rest will take care of itself.

Here at Nifty we pride ourselves on our design work. We like to work closely with our clients to create something unique, something that your existing customers will be proud of, and your potential customers will be interested by. Being full-service and having clients in all different sectors, we often know what works, and if we don’t, you best believe we’ll find out.

If you’re looking to change the game with your graphics, give us a shout. We’d love to chat.
