My Internship at Nifty

At the end of July, within my summer break from studying I decided to search for companies that fitted my passion for marketing and PR. This is where I came across Nifty Communications and six brilliant weeks later, I have acquired skills during my internship that I will take with me for the rest of my career.

When starting at Nifty I was warmly greeted by the team and allowed to get to know clients and how things run, immediately putting me at ease. My first week was spent building client lists something valuable to the business however, within this time I built my skillset everyday just listening to conversations around the office.

Once I had gained some experience I was tasked with writing for and communicating with clients. This taught me to use any knowledge I had acquired from university with real businesses. Through this my writing continuously improved, which, as someone who struggles with academic writing, I can say how much my confidence has grown within my time at Nifty.

My favourite task at Nifty has been communicating and mixing with influencers and business owners. I have communicated with people I would never have dreamt of being able to before working with Nifty and even managed to secure influencer collaborations for our clients, something I’m immensely proud of.

Before starting my internship at Nifty, I was completely unsure about how I would manage once I graduated but, in my time here, they have instilled the belief in myself that I can now be an asset to an organisation.

Personally, I would like to thank Rachel for answering my very first email and introducing me, giving me the opportunity to work within this extraordinary company. I would also like to thank Sam for guiding me through the world of PR and being so kind and patient with me throughout. Finally, Christian and the Nifty team who have been so welcoming, teaching me how good a business is when it has a strong leader and hard-working employees. All this made Nifty a truly great place to spend my summer.
